About Us
Reliable Industries, Inc. was founded in 1980 on the conviction that companies could save money while preserving the environment for future generations. We've accomplished this for our clients by purchasing new and reusable products such as: new, obsolete, and reusable corrugated boxes; steel, fiber, and plastic drums, and obsolete finished products. Reliable then resells these items to manufacturers and wholesale users at significant savings over the normal wholesale price of these products.

Boxes
The Box Company — New, Obsolete and Reusable Boxes
We acquire obsolete, misprinted, overrun and reusable corrugated boxes from a vast network of companies across the east coast. Because these companies generate a constant stream of boxes, our customers are assured of the consistent availability of low-cost, high quality boxes.
- Obsolete Boxes: Obsolete boxes are new boxes which are no longer usable for their intended use. Reliable purchases millions of brand new boxes which can no longer be used by our suppliers due to changes in packaging size, design, or product obsolescence. These obsolete boxes have never been used, so if you don't mind the printing, you will really appreciate the savings.
- Reusable Boxes: We also purchase used corrugated boxes from companies. Because these boxes contain such benign items as plastic bottles, or packaged products, you can expect them to be just as clean and structurally sound as new boxes. Like obsolete boxes, reusable cartons may have some printing on them, but considering the substantial savings you will experience, who really cares?
Gaylord Boxes: Do you need big boxes to ship your extra large items? Reliable has used boxes which fit on a pallet and measure approximately (L) 42-44 X (W) 36-38 X (H) 36-38 and we can supply a lid and pallet if requested.- New Boxes: Reliable also manufactures new boxes. We will manufacture one to a million corrugated boxes to meet your specification. We can provide you with short runs of custom made boxes in hours!
Moving Boxes: The Box Outlet offers private individuals several sizes of new and used cardboard boxes, which they can use when moving from house to house or when storing items for safe keeping. Drums
The Drum Company
Does your company ship their products in steel, fiber, or plastic drums? If so, Reliable Industries can offer you substantial savings. We are currently supplying several customers with new, used or reconditioned steel, fiber or plastic drums. Every reconditioned drum compiles with RIPA (Reusable Industrial Packaging Association) generally accepted reconditioning policies. Reliable removes empty steel, fiber, and plastic drums from industrial companies. These drums are then inspected, separated, sold "as is", or reconditioned, or prepared and sent for steel scrap recycling.
In addition to providing the high-quality, thoroughly reconditioned drums, Reliable also sells a complete line of new containers and container components including industrial bulk storage containers (IBC'S). Our drums are suitable for almost every purpose, including the transportation of flammable or hazardous materials.
Reliable's Drip Dry Policy
To further enforce and comply with EPA's empty drum regulations which allow no more than 2.5cm (1 inch) of residual material to remain in the bottom of an empty steel, fiber or plastic drum, Reliable is currently using a "DRIP DRY POLICY."
No drum will be picked up which has any loose material in it.
This means NO loose liquids or solids. If loose material can be poured or dumped out of the drum then it is not empty. Additionally, if the prior residual material is listed by EPA in 40 CFR 261.33(e) as a "P-Listed" acutely hazardous waste, the drum is not deemed empty unless it has been triple-rinsed using an effective solvent or has been cleaned by a method shown to achieve equivalent removal. All drums being removed from your facility must have heads and rings affixed or have the bungs in place. Our drivers have been instructed not to pick up drums which are not properly prepared for removal.
Every person providing drums containing any residues to Reliable regardless of prior content shall sign an "Empty Drum Certification" verifying that the drums are empty in accordance with the above explanation.
